Compare stroller ventilated seats

유모차 통풍시트 비교

My wife gave me a mission to find a ventilated seat for Nayulie in preparation for a big outing. I'm planning to buy a stroller at the Beppe on June 8th, and I've been checking the internet for ventilated seats, pros and cons, etc. based on the brand criteria she suggested. (Brand selection criteria? I thought that my wife must have researched a lot at the cafe~!

Ventilated seats

The first question I asked was, "Do I really need a ventilated seat?" and the next question was... I'm worried about my baby having a higher temperature, and I've heard a lot of people say that a ventilated seat is definitely a good idea. How much does it cost, blah, blah, blah. After hearing all these reasons, I stopped asking any more questions. Since my wife has many sources of information on childcare products (e.g. Mom Cafe, Jodong, etc.), she suggested a few brands, and I decided to check them out without saying anything about them. The brands were Kambi, Polled, and Daichi.

I went through the product descriptions and looked at the prices and basic characteristics (number of fans, location) and came up with the following summary. Based on the cost/benefit ratio alone, it seems like it's better to buy the Kambi, but I thought there must be a reason for the discount, so I looked at the pros and cons and reviews. By the way, this is not a product review, but a summary based on information from the Internet to purchase the product, so comments from those who have actually used the product are always welcome~!!!

Last night, I wrote (and temporarily saved) a post comparing the products by looking at the introductions on the official sales site, and today, I visited the Baby House in Yeongtong, Suwon, for an additional product demonstration. In the end, I think I'll end up buying the Polarized Airlove 3 Lollipop model.

Polled Airlove 3

First of all, I would like to mention the Polled product first because the fan method is completely different from the other two products (Kambi and Daichi). I looked at it while thinking that the suction power for air circulation might be a little insufficient because the fan is located on the back, but first of all, we need to highlight the differences or disadvantages with other products, so the characteristics (?) that make our product stand out are well mentioned here. The front grill of other products is directly exposed to fan noise, which disturbs the child's emotional stability and provides an uncomfortable feeling of use.

In the case of Airlove, the fan is located in the back, and the noise is said to be very quiet, around 35 decibels. (I thought that the noise was not very meaningful due to the characteristics of the car seat and stroller used when going out anyway.) The wind speed can be adjusted in three stages, but there was no mention of how much the wind speed is, so I was a little disappointed that I could not check it (if Baby House has such a product, I would like to be able to check the wind speed by actually turning it on). I was worried about Nayul's head shaking when I put her in the car seat or stroller, but it was good that there were many hooks and straps provided in the product details to securely fasten it.

I also checked the box that it uses a HEPA filter class H11 to filter the inhaled air. I was relieved to see that the air my child breathes is filtered without the contaminated dust from the fan coming into direct contact with it... Such details were not just 'good', but included inspection reports that passed the safety standards on the sales site!

Kambi Dual Fan Ice Cool Sheet

This product is unique in that you can put gel ice packs inside the sheet. The advantage is that you can use the ice packs to lower the temperature a lot. However, the ice packs need to be frozen for at least 2-3 hours, so I don't think it's very useful if you're going out for a long time. On the other hand, in winter, the gel can be warmed up by microwaving it for a short time (although it is not recommended to heat it for more than 40 seconds as it may cause damage).

And since it supports dual fans, it can absorb more air and emit more air, and at the same time, the noise level is only 55.5 decibels at level 3. The airflow control is the same as the AirLove 3, with three levels of adjustment via remote control and sufficient power from a power bank (this is the same for all three products). The only thing I was a little disappointed about in the product description was that the only attachment instructions were for the crotch belt and the retaining band (or belt) on the back of the cool seat, and there was no mention of a filter for the air entering the fan.

In summary, this is a product that is not focused on clean air, but rather on providing a cooler breeze with the ice pack and a stronger breeze with the dual fans. It's also worth noting that this is a baby product, so it has passed the basic KC safety test.

Daiichi Airpocket 2

Daiichi's product felt very basic. The fan is located at the bottom of the front of the product, but they start off with a Q&A about the dangers of front-facing fans, stating that the triple filter inside the fan filters out debris and the fan protector case prevents pinching. They also mention that, like the Kambi, it blows more air than products with rear-facing fans, like the Polled Airlove 3.

In addition to the image above, there was also an article that promoted the strong wind by blowing tissues and testing the wind speed. As I was reading through the content, I noticed that there was a timer function that other ventilated seats did not have, but it seemed okay to have a 15-minute, 30-minute, and 1-hour timer function to prevent the child from being exposed to the wind for a long time. It was also good to see that the company deals with car seats and strollers like Polled, and the explanation of product fixation was well explained.

The filter that goes into the fan also seemed to be a good product in terms of providing clean air to the child, as it mentioned that it contains a pre-filter, activated carbon filter, and HEPA filter. However, I was a little disappointed that there were no separate test results for the filters like there are for Polled products. The noise rating is 49 decibels for stage 1 and 53 decibels for stage 2. The third stage is not mentioned, so it seems to be louder than expected. Other than that, the product certification is the same as other sites, and safety certificates such as KC certification can also be found on the site.

Summary

The above is a quick summary of the features and benefits of each product.
  • Polled Airlove 3: Back vents, quiet noise level, and test results for the filter.
  • Kambi Dual-Fan Kids' Seat: Two front vents, quieter noise level than expected, ice pack for extra cooling
  • Daiichi AirPocket 2: One vent, strong wind, and timer function

Now all you have to do is decide which one to buy..!
Personally, I'm a little more inclined to buy the Polled AirLove 3 because I think that if the cool fan is in the front, the dust from your shoes will be absorbed and blown out. Rather, I wonder if the products with the cool fan in front should pay attention to the filter, but there was only Polled that led to the certification result of the filter... The ice pack and timer functions are of course attractive features, but... The ice pack doesn't seem to be meaningful when going out for a long time, and I thought that the timer function would be meaningful, even though I would turn it on when I went out. However, I was also curious about the wind speed of the POLED product, which is a rear cool fan mentioned as a disadvantage in these two products, so (since I'm not in a hurry), I think it might lead to a purchase if I check it once through a visit to the baby house and think it's okay. If the wind of the Polled Airlove 3 is really weak... Maybe I should buy the Daiichi AirPocket 2? Since this is a product that Nayul will use, it's important to me that it's cool, but I can't help but look for something that's more certified (with a filter) or safer (securely attached to a car seat or stroller).

Conclusion

If you've visited a baby house and found the winds to be okay, I'd get the Polled Airlove 3 ➡️ If the winds are too light for you, I'd get the Daiichi Airpocket 2.

And this is regardless of the above conclusion, I checked whether each product is registered normally and well in the 'Product Safety Information Center'... When I checked the registered product photos, the Polled Airlove 3 was registered as 'CB017R891-2001', the Dreamy Kids Seat was registered as 'CB015R1529-3001', and the Daichi Airpocket 2 was registered as 'CB011H027-1001'. As I checked, only the Daichi was made in South Korea. All the others were made in China. Hmm... I'm a little worried about this too.

I organized this yesterday and visited the Suwon Youngtong Baby House today. At first, I went to Yongin Baby House to use Gyeonggi local currency, but I was told that Tuesday is a regular holiday. When I called yesterday, they said they were open today, but maybe I was calling from a public number. Anyway, Nayul fed Mama and we went out together. I was able to try out the Daiichi Airpocket and Polled Airlove 3, but when I pressed the cool pen part slightly, the wind of the Polled product was much weaker than I thought. The price was also cheaper than what I researched above, but if you are interested in purchasing a ventilated seat for the Daiichi Airpocket 2 or Polled Airlove 3 donut, I recommend purchasing it at a baby house, which is cheaper than the Internet. In my case. The AirLove 3 Lollipop model I wanted to buy was out of stock, so I talked to my wife and decided to buy it online. On May 31st, in honor of Pauled Blue Day, we're giving away a !?
