In April, my wife visited the COEX Baby Fair to purchase the Nosiboo Pro. Thanks to her trip, I took over the night feeding yesterday.
She arrived at COEX around 9:30 am, even though it opened at 10 am, and mentioned it was already quite crowded. By the time it opened, she saw people rushing to the Nosiboo booth. As her goal was also the Nosiboo, she lined up at the booth and managed to purchase the Nosiboo Pro as around the 20th customer. After purchasing, as they checked out other vendors and passed by the Nosiboo booth again, the line was then wrapping around the booth twice!
Upon purchasing, here's a simple breakdown of what was included and its cost:
[ COEX Baby Fair - Nosiboo Pro Purchase Price: 263,000 won ]
👉 Product: Nosiboo Pro main unit (Price on Naver Shopping: 268,000 won)
👉 Nosiboo Pro accessory set (Naver Shopping Price: 26,500 won)
👉 Instagram discount (-5,000 won)
The Nosiboo was primarily available on Naver Shopping, but all items were sold out around the time the fair opened. Pre-ordering was available, but shipments started from May 24th. I briefly considered whether to buy another product in case of a cold before then, but parental instincts prevailed.
It wasn't exactly cheap, and having not used it yet, I'm uncertain about its efficacy. But since we've purchased it, we should make the best use of it. Apart from buying the Nosiboo, babies often have runny noses. It's tricky if you don’t know how to deal with it. Babies have small nostrils and delicate mucous membranes. They get congested easily if it's slightly cold or dry. If the congestion doesn't significantly affect their daily life, it's not necessary to clear it. However, if they struggle during feedings or can't sleep, then clearing the mucus is advisable.
Solutions for Nasal Congestion
- Using Cotton Swabs: For mild congestion, a cotton swab can help. Before inserting, moisten it with saline to prevent irritation. Be gentle and avoid going too deep to prevent harming the delicate lining. There's also the option to spray saline directly.
- Using a Suction Device: Before using, apply saline and wait for a few minutes. Like with the cotton swab, frequent or rough use can damage the nasal lining, so caution is advised.
- Other Methods: Giving the baby a bath can also help. The warm moisture in the air can moisten the nasal passages, aiding in mucus removal. Inducing a sneeze by tickling the nostrils can temporarily clear the nose.
These are temporary solutions. The key is maintaining proper humidity at home and preventing colds.
