A Soon-to-be Dad's Guide to Packing a C-Section Hospital Bag

예비아빠가 정리하는 제왕절개 출산가방

We are just one day away (D-1) from the expected delivery date.

I've been preparing for the arrival, but the more I look, the more I realize there's a lot I don’t know or that seems to be missing. Yesterday, we even got a free PCR test at the public health center in preparation for hospital admission. If you have a reason for admission (and provide the necessary documentation), both the patient and one guardian can get tested for free. For reference, the hospital offers a rapid test for 20,000 won per person. My wife has already prepared everything she needs for her hospital bag, but I thought I should know where everything is to avoid scrambling when she's admitted. So, today, I'm going to pack all the items she's prepared in a suitcase and jot down some related thoughts. It’s important to note that since my wife is having a C-section, the list differs from that of a natural delivery.

Below is a video where I pack each item into the hospital bag.

Hospital Bag Item List

Below is the list my wife prepared. Items marked in red are used in both the hospital and the postnatal care center, so it might be good to prioritize them.

I spent quite a while packing the bag, so I'll wrap up today's post here. I still have some household chores to complete. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments. I'll ask my wife and respond sincerely.
