Types and Prices of Rooms at Suji Future Postnatal Care Center

Suji Future Postnatal Care Center

For mothers living near Yongin, many might be using the Suji Future Obstetrics clinic. Initially, my wife and I attended a clinic in Bundang. However, during our search for a well-rated clinic that would oversee the delivery process as well, we stumbled upon this place. One of its main advantages is that, in addition to check-ups and delivery, they also operate a postnatal care center!

They had a brief interruption in the care center operations due to remodeling and expansion. Many expectant mothers, including my wife and I, heard about its reopening last December and were eagerly awaiting it. Yet, its opening was continuously postponed for various reasons (fire safety regulations, administrative delays, etc.). Consequently, we had reserved a spot in a care center in Giheung and even planned how to get there post-delivery.

But then, I got a call from my wife at work. The Suji Future Postnatal Care Center had finally opened on March 30, 2023!

Upon hearing the news, our worries about the transfer from the hospital to the care center vanished. We immediately took a day off to visit and discuss a potential contract.

Every week, we would come to this building for ultrasound scans, always on the 2nd floor. But the care center? It's on the 6th! Once the elevator doors opened, the reception was right there, and two staff members were present – one for guidance and the other for consultations.

Inside the Care Center

The interior, illuminated with just the right amount of lighting, was pristine. Since no mothers were residing yet, we got the chance to inspect all the room types.

Common Area:

Beyond the reception through the hallway was a common space. My wife commented on a video I took there (was it that weird? 🥲). Anyway, the area is set up for postnatal education and relaxation, equipped with a coffee maker, toaster, and more.

Premium Room:

This is a new type of room that was added during the remodeling. Three in total, these are arguably the best rooms. They are furnished with a king-sized bed, a sofa, and even a massage chair. From what I remember, only the premium rooms had full-body massage machines and dedicated baths.

VVIP Room:

These are slightly smaller than the Premium Rooms but still quite spacious. Nine of these rooms are available. They lack the dedicated bath and massage chair but are otherwise comfortable.

VIP Room:

This room is slightly smaller than the VVIP rooms. It lacked a sofa, having regular chairs instead. Six of these rooms are available.

Classic Room:

This is the most basic room type. Although the cheapest, only two exist. We initially intended to book this room but found out they were already reserved.

Consultation:

What struck me was the continuity of care. Mothers can have surgical procedures and postnatal care under the same physician. The same doctor will also conduct rounds and consultations in the care center.

Prices:

I understand this is a point of curiosity for many. For us, the prices matched what we were previously informed of. Due to the unavailability of the Classic Room, we had to opt for the VIP room, which was a bit more expensive. But they gave us a 5% opening discount (35% discount if the delivery is done at their main facility).

Suji Future Postnatal Care Center

In conclusion, the postnatal care center experience left us feeling reassured and comfortable with our choice. The focus on providing comprehensive and continued care for both mother and baby was evident, and the facilities seemed top-notch.
